The Spring 2020 issue of Playboy was the last printed edition printed - Playboy Enterprises stating at the time the Covid-2019 pandemic had disrupted printing and distribution for the publication that had been printed for 65 years. In Fall of 2020, Playboy Enterprises merged with PLBY Group - and announced that Playboy would be published digitally.
Since the announcement - Playboy has been accepting applications for the new Playboy Centerfold Creators platform - which has fully launched and since gone live in January 2023.
I applied back in January of last year. The application had stated that Playboy was looking for sex positive and innovative content creators to join the platform. I have been a content creator and streamer for 6 years now - traveling the globe to the worlds foxiest destinations, trade shows and lifestyle events and documenting my travels and other sexy escapades. And then, in August - almost 9 months of thinking it was nothing more than a pipe dream, I had an email show up in my inbox inviting me to be a beta creator on the new Playboy Centerfold platform.
I was like - "no....foxing...way.....I got accepted to create with Playboy??" REALLY?"
I still can't believe it. But then I uploaded my profile pic, filled in my bio - and boom, my content was now published on Playboy. Woah. That's wild man. Did I just do that? Fox yeah, I did! I can't even believe it! If you asked me 6 years ago where I wanted to be in 5 - this was it guys!!! and I really couldn't be more thrilled to work with Playboy to create sexy new content.
So, it's been about 4 months on the platform as a creator. There have definitely been some updates and modifications that have been made through the beta version - but the full version launched just a couple of weeks ago at the end of January 2023.
Last Thursday -I'm slumped over in my office chair around 6:30pm scrolling reels on my feed, and I got an email calling for bunnies in Arizona to come by from 5-7pm on Tuesday the week of the Super bowl for a creators meet up (that was in like.....4 days).......BUT I COULD MAKE TUESDAY WORK - after all Arizona is only an hour or so flight away.
Playboy has definitely been a longtime inspiration for me. Playboy has been known to be on the front lines of advocating for free speech - featuring controversial articles, artists, political advocates - challenging the status quo and providing a platform for conversation that main stream media does not conform to. Playboy continues to evolve - featuring new innovative influencers, creatives and topics that ignite conversations.

I made a new friend at the meet up (IG @Lainewise)! My favorite part is always meeting foxy new friends on the road who have a passion creating and art! It is so fun to meet other creators and talk about different platforms, success stories, ways to improve traffic and different creative concepts.
There seemed to be bunnies from all around that came to the meet up. I met bunnies from Arizona, Kansas, Las Vegas - and even ran into a fellow bunny from Denver! Each bunny was gifted a set of ears (we lucked out and got some tails too!) and one piece of Playboy merch from their playboy fashion line.
My new friend and I hopped around and got some cute pics of each other at the meet-up. We had such a blast hanging out and meeting other models and were even able to meet some of the Playboy creative executive team.
So what's the scoop about the platform? How does it work?
As I mentioned - I have been on the platform now since August. I put together a quick overview of some of the features the platform has to offer as well as a quick pros and cons.
The Features:
Followers vs. Subscribers
The platform has a public feed for followers, as well as a subscriber feed - where I can post content just for my paid subscribers to view.
Messaging
I am able to message followers, subscribers, expired subscribers and recent post unlocks. I am also able to categorize "new" followers/subs -so I can target special promotions and sets to get new paid subscribers. I also can set the price for subscribers and followers to send a message to me.
PPM (Pay-Per-Message)
Pay per messaging (PPM) feature - set a price for followers and subscribers to send messages.
PPV (Pay-Per-View) Pay per view posts and messaging
The Vault Easily upload photos and videos to send and post (and resend/repost!)
Referal program Get paid for referring other content creators to the platform
Pros:
I really like that the platform has a "followers" (free) vs. paid (subscriber) membership and feed.
I like that I can set a pay-per-message rate for subscribers and followers to message me
Standard features like PPV, vault, welcome messages are all available on the platform.
Creator calls and meet ups hosted by the Playboy creative team - I love when platforms contribute to the success of their creators!
Cons:
Some technical funk - nothing major. Since the update I have had to reload my app a couple of times, every time I seem to send a message it also sends me a copy and is "unread" (for mass messaging too - which can be a pain to have to go through and delete all of them for the sake of the OCD in some of us).
Newer platform, less subscribers/viewers already on the platform to find my pages
Overall - I like that the platform incorporates a number of different ways to engage with followers, subscribers - and the tools on the platform that allow me to monetize my engagements in different ways (Subscriptions, PPV (pay per view), PPM (pay per message). I LOVE the creator calls and meet-ups. I love when platforms invest in the opportunities for content creators to be successful on their platforms.
Playboy is NOW ACCEPTING CREATOR APPLICATIONS! I'm excited to see if any other of our Foxy ladies will make it on the platform and have another tool for us to create and moenetize our content.
